A manufacturer of heat exchangers was having problems with corrosion developing during overseas export. This presented a negative company image to customers. The manufacturer was advised to wrap the equipment with Cor-Pak® VpCI® Stretch Film (Hand Wrap), adding a strip of VpCI®-150 inside to protect the inner volume of the equipment. The final step was to wrap the equipment in bubble film and non-VCI stretch film. Since the equipment was typically stretch-wrapped anyway, the new materials did not interfere with the normal packaging process. The manufacturer was satisfied with the cost-effective solution and expressed interest in using VpCI® hydrotesting additives, as well.
